To view pending payments, go to your Payment Activity page. All of your pending payments will show up on this page in the Scheduled Payments section. You can edit or cancel a pending payment here, too.
If a payment is pending, you can cancel it at any time. If your bill payment is still pending and has not started processing, you can cancel it by clicking or tapping that payment in the upcoming transactions area above your transaction history and selecting cancel payment. View or cancel a scheduled payment To view scheduled payments, including online, mobile, phone and AutoPay payments, look under Scheduled Payments in Payment Activity in your account details page. From here, you can also cancel a payment if it is not yet pending or processed.
Your Capital One card was probably declined because of a lack of available credit, a defective card, a broken card reader, or fraud concerns. Other possible reasons are an expired card number or a new card that has yet to be activated.
Once youve determined why your Capital One card was restricted, confirm with customer service what you need to do to remove the restriction from your account. For example, if the account was restricted due to missed payments, you may need to pay the full overdue amount before the restriction will be lifted.
Start by putting in your request with the vendor. But if the vendor continues to charge your credit card, contact your card issuer. Youll have 60 days to dispute the charge, starting when the card issuer sends you the statement with the charges.
Stopping a card payment You can tell the card issuer by phone, email or letter. Your card issuer has no right to insist that you ask the company taking the payment first. They have to stop the payments if you ask them to. If you ask to stop a payment, the card issuer should investigate each case on its own merit.
You can stop a pending debit card transaction by contacting the merchant and canceling the purchase. Or you can try contacting your bank if you dont recognize the transaction, you suspect fraud is involved, or the merchant is unresponsive.
