Yes, you can insert an image into an Excel cell as follows. Paste an image into Excel, then resize the image and drag and drop it on top of a cell, as pictured below.
You cannot copy and paste an image onto an Excel worksheet as you do in Microsoft Word. If you want to add an image in Excel, you will have to go to Insert>Illustrations>Pictures and select the image of your choice.
