Inserting a document Click or tap where you want to insert the content of the existing document. Go to Insert and select the arrow next to Object . Select Text from File. Locate the file that you want and then double-click it. To add in the contents of additional Word documents, repeat the above steps as needed.
Document metadata is metadata stored inside a document that provides information about the authorship, editing time, and even the computer on which the document was created.
In Word, choose the Insert Contact button. For Word, this is available from the InterAction group on the Insert tab. InterAction displays the Find Contact dialog box. If you are working on behalf of another user, select that users name from the Search on behalf of list.
Adding Metadata in Windows OS In File Explorer, right click the file and go to the properties. Click on the Details tab and add your Metadata.
Microsoft Words metadata, or document properties, stores details about files. Common metadata entries include the documents author, company, title and subject.

Using Document Inspector in Word (Windows) To use Document Inspector, go to File, Info and choose Inspect Document then select the appropriate content to inspect, and click Inspect. Then click Remove All. Remember always to check the details of your file to make sure all metadata has been removed
Click the File tab. Click Info to view the document properties. To add or change properties, hover your pointer over the property you want to update and enter the information. Note that for some metadata, such as Author, youll have to right-click on the property and choose Remove or Edit.
