Doug is going to talk to us about X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, otherwise known as XPS. Before we get started I would like to give you a bit of Dougamp;#39;s background. Doug is a senior research scientist with McCrone Associates. He specializes in surface sensitive spectroscopies, such as Auger electron, X-ray photoelectron, infrared reflection absorption, thermal desorption, and low-energy electron diffraction. Doug was awarded the U.S. Department of Commerceamp;#39;s Silver Medal for his work in the development of conductometric chemical microsensor array technology for the detection of chemical warfare agents. He also has over ten years of micro beam analysis experience prior to joining McCrone Associates. Once you save a document as an XPS file, you can no longer edit it, as XPS files are designed to preserve the integrity of your document. You can however save an XPS file to another application, such as Microsoft Word, to edit the document and then convert it back to the XPS format. There is no way of editing XPS files. You have to keep the original DOCX / DOC format file, do your editing there and then save a new XPS file.
On Windows 10 11, you can Microsofts XPS Viewer to open XPS files on your PC. You can also upload your XPS file to Google Drive and then download it as a PDF to make it easier to read and share. Alternatively, try an online XPS-to-PDF file converter to convert the XPS file to a more popular file type.
Online Converters: Several free online conversion tools can convert XPS to XLS. These services are convenient, but be cautious uploading sensitive documents. Search for [XPS to XLS converter] to find these services.
Another option is to open the XPS in Google Drive and then save it as a PDF. Upload the XPS file to your Google Drive by clicking New File Upload and selecting the XPS file. Click Print. Select Save as PDF. Select the desired location for your new PDF.
