A payee simply refers to anyone who receives funds from a payer. The payment can take many forms, whether its a bank transfer, cheque, cash, or sent from a mobile app. In return for submitting payment to the payee, the payer receives their goods and services in return.

A payee is a party in an exchange of goods and services who receives payment. The payee provides goods and services to the payer who obtains them through the exchange of value (most often money). Payees may also be more than one party in a transaction and sometimes they are the same party.
Your payee receives your payments on your behalf and must use the money to pay for your current needs, which include: housing and utilities; food; medical and dental expenses; personal care items; clothing; and. rehabilitation expenses (if youre disabled).
Payee Name: Refers to the payees business name. For example, ATT, PGE, Waste Management, etc. Payee Nickname: Refers to what you choose to label this payee. This is especially helpful if there is more than one account held with a particular payee.
To add a bill payee: From your Accounts page, select Bill Payments. Select Add payee. Enter the payee name and your account number.
How do I create a new payee? Select Payments and Transfers. Select Payees. Select New Payee. Select the Group you wish to add the payee to or New Group and enter the Group Name. Enter a Payee Lookup Name. Select the Pay From account. Enter the Payee Name.
