Do I Need To Initial Every Page? No, not every page needs to be initialled. Certainly, you can initial every page if you have decided this is the best course of action to take, but there is no obligation. Initialling can be done to some of the more important pages on a document or pages where changes have been made.
Paragraph numbering begins with number 1 at the first paragraph in the body of the document and continues sequentially until the last paragraph of the body.
Two copies with two signature pages should be prepared. Each party should sign both pages and then receive an original copy. Execution: Contracts arent executed until both parties sign them. A contract is only partially executed when one signature is on it, and its not binding.
There is no statute or law that demands that each page of a contract be initialed. Written contracts are binding if signed once by the parties to the contractso dont assume you wan wiggle out of a contract because you did not initial it on every page; the contract is binding if signed on the last page.
So, why do we sign on every page? In a paper flow, the pages can easily be changed, which changes the contract that you signed. Your signature on that page would prevent any malicious person to change the contract and replace the pages.
Keep an Original Signed Copy of the Contract in Your Files That means if there are two parties to the contract, two identical contracts must be signed. One original copy of the contract should go to you, and one original copy should go to the other party.
Yes. Contracts in relation to land must be in writing and signed by all parties to the transaction. It is important that all of the pages of the Contract are initialed by all parties and the last page signed and witnessed.
It is usually the case in order to indicate it was read and understood, yet not required. but once you sign and date the last page you are locked in.
