Task Statuses. The task status summarizes where the task is in the task work cycle. A task with the Assigned task status can change to a Canceled, Closed, or Removed task status. Any task with the Draft, Projected, Pending, Assigned, In Process, or Declined task status can change to the Canceled task status.
This field uses the Status date that you set in your project (or the Current date if you have not set a Status date) to calculate the current status of every task in your schedule. Once calculated, the Status field will return one of four values for each task in your project schedule.
Description The Status field indicates the current status of a task, specifying whether the task is Complete, On Schedule, Late, or a Future Task. How Calculated If the task is 100 percent complete, then Microsoft Office Project sets the Status field to Complete.
Open a project file in Project desktop, right-click the field name, and choose Custom Fields. Select Task if you want the field to be available in task views, or select Resource if you want the field to be available in resource views. Select the type of field you are customizing from the Type list.
Project assigns unique outline numbers for each task based on its level in the hierarchy of the task list. Right click on the column header to the right of where you want to show the Outline Number column and click Insert Column. Scroll down and click on Outline Number from the list.
A Task Status specifies the stages through which your tasks progress within a work project. Task statuses include: unassigned; pending; accepted; started; and, completed. Tasks can be a reminder of something to do in the future, or a recurring task to be completed for an ongoing project or retainer.
On the Design tab, in the Tools group, click Add Existing Fields.Add a field to a form or report by using the Field List pane Double-click the field. Drag the field from the Field List pane to the form or report. Hold the CTRL key and click several fields, and then drag them all to the form or report at the same time.
What do the Project Status values represent? The Project Status indicates the current status of your project: Complete, On Schedule, Late, Future, On Budget or Overbudget: Complete If the project is 100% complete, then our application sets the Project Status to Complete.
Create custom indicators Click Project Custom Fields. Choose an unused text field, and then click Rename. Type Progress (or whatever name you want) and click OK. Under Custom attributes, click Lookup. In the table, add the values you want.
