whats up guys its moby here the question of the day is why do contractors charge a markup and i wanted to kind of broach this topic because theres a lot of you know ive gotten a lot of feedback from my own customers and i know a lot of contractors online in like my facebook groups that have spoken about their clients kind of questioning this um but but it usually goes like this uh the client is say wanting a new floor and they go to the local home improvement stores or flooring stores and they essentially um you know pick out a nice flooring that they want and they they get to see the price and and they know hey this flooring is say four dollars a square foot so they call the contractor the contractor insists that hes going to supply his own materials which a good contractor should and when they discuss pricing or in other cases when a when the client gets the bill they can see that the flooring was actually marked up beyond what they could have paid for it now i know youre think
