You know last Friday Chandoo was here, and Chandoo had collected 211 questions for me, and we actually spent about two hours on Chandoos podcast, going through and answering a lot of these questions, but we didnt get to some of them. One of them that we didnt get to address with Chandoo is Ola: They create invoices in the finance departments, they follow one another on a sheet for easy purpose, but want to basically be able to stamp the invoice with SENT or PAID or something like that. So I just created some simple little invoices here like Ola described, you know, just one after the other. So heres the first invoice, did a page break, heres the next invoice, and so on. I want to be able to mark these as SENT or PAID or something like that, and so Im going to choose that cell, Insert, out of here on the right hand side of the Insert, under Text choose WordArt. Al

Regardless of whether you decide to design your restaurant receipt or use a ready-made one, it should include the following: Date and time, Receipt number. Location, Price. Tax. Total amount,
An itemized meal receipt should have the name of the establishment, the date of service, the items purchased, the amount paid for each item, and the tax. If the tip is not included in the total it should be written on the receipt.
Figuring out the tip If your total bill is $200 and you want to tip 15%, work out the tip by multiplying the total bill by 0.15. You can then add this amount to your bill when it comes to pay. Simple. Or alternatively, you can multiply the bill excluding service by 1.15 (assuming you want to leave that same 15% tip).
When you tip with a credit card, you write the amount you wish to tip on your receipt, then sign the receipt to confirm the total amount (tip + bill) to be charged to your card. Unlike cash tips, credit card tips are processed and paid out to the service provider at a later date.
Add the tip to the receipt when you sign it, and the wait-staff will add it to the card total already approved. Credit card companies factor in that a point of sale from a restaurant will most likely include a tip.
Tipping on the receipt is a payment flow where the customer first presents their card and provides a PIN or signature, and then writes a tip amount on the receipt and signs for it. This means that initially the transaction amount is authorized, but the tip amount is not. This is also referred to as overcapture.
A detailed or itemized receipt has the following on it: All of the items that were purchased. Who they were purchased from (name of the business). The date they were purchased. The total paid.
Go back to Settings Checkout tap Tipping toggle Collect Tips on. Select either Smart Tip Amounts or Set Percentage Amounts. You can also toggle on Allow Custom Amounts to let your customers write in a custom tip.
