Wingdings is a series of dingbat fonts that render letters as a variety of symbols. They were originally developed in 1990 by Microsoft by combining glyphs from Lucida Icons, Arrows, and Stars licensed from Charles Bigelow and Kris Holmes.
Press Insert Special Characters. Now, write check mark on the search box. You will see different types of check mark icons. Insert the preferred one into the doc.
Click on Symbol and choose More Symbols. Change the font to Wingdings in the Font select box. Scroll to the bottom, and youll find two different styles of ticks and crosses. Choose the symbol you prefer and click Insert.
Insert a check mark symbol In your file, place the cursor where you want to insert the symbol. Open the Symbol dialog box: In the Font box, select Wingdings. In the Character code box at the bottom, enter: 252. Select the check mark you want. Once the check mark has been inserted, you may change its size or color.
In the top navigation of Google Docs select Insert. Then select Special Characters. Then search for Check. There are several icons for checkboxes both checked and not checked.
All you need to do is hold down the Alt key as you type that character code. When you release the Alt key, Word inserts the symbol in the document. Another approach is to simply type the four Unicode characters and then press Alt+X, which converts the character code to the symbol.
Insert tick boxes On your Android device, open a spreadsheet in the Google Sheets app. Select the cells that you want to have tick boxes. Data validation. In the list under Criteria, tap Tick box.

You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread. Go to Insert tab and then Symbol drop down arrow (located at far right of ribbon) , click on More Symbols and at Symbol window and then at Font: click on drop down arrow and scroll to find Wingdings.
Open Word. Change the font to Wingdings 2. Press Shift + P for a tick symbol.
