Style A style is a collection of formats that you may use to easily change the appearance of pages, text, frames, and other elements in your document. Template A template is a sample document with a predefined format that contains images or text that the user may quickly edit and utilize.
1) Open the Styles and Formatting window and choose the type of style you want to create. 2) In the document, select the item you want to save as a style. 3) In the Styles and Formatting window, select on the New Style from Selection icon. 4) In the Create Style dialog, type a name for the new style.
Use Word to open or save a document in the OpenDocument Text (. odt) format Click the File tab. Click Open. Click Browse, To see only the files saved in the OpenDocument format, click the list of file types next to the File name box, and then click OpenDocument Text. Click the file you want to open, and then click Open.
Style sets allow you to format all elements in your document at once instead of modifying each element separately. From the Design tab, click the More drop-down arrow in the Document Formatting group. Choose the desired style set from the drop-down menu. The selected style set will be applied to your entire document.
Just in case, Ill sum up my above post: Insert a placeholder image in your ODT template. Position it the way you like the final Image to appear. Name the image. Use the Java-Code I posted above to substitute the placeholder by.
To insert an object: Choose the Gallery deck in the Sidebar or the menu Tools Gallery or click the Gallery icon on the Standard toolbar (in Writer and Calc) or the Drawing toolbar (in Impress and Draw). Select a theme. Select an object with a single click. Drag and drop the image into the document. (
