For most legal documents, the last page is referred to as the signing page. It usually has a dark line indicated for the signature and the name of the individual or company name underneath. There may also be a line to print your name or to fill in contact information.
NAME OF COMPANY SIGNING THE CONTRACT So if the Chief Executive Officer of the company is signing, that person would identify himself or herself as its Chief Executive Officer by writing Chief Executive Officer next to its. If you want to know more about whether you can sign a contract, you can read here.
In the U.S., the word By: is placed under the signature line not to identify the name of the signatory but to state the function or title, emphasizing that the signatory is not signing in his or her personal capacity and the signatorys name and title should be noted under the signature. Side-by-side.
Insert a signature line Click where you want the line. Click Insert Signature Line. Click Microsoft Office Signature Line. In the Signature Setup box, you can type a name in the Suggested signerbox. You can also add a title in the Suggested signers title box. Click OK. The signature line appears in your document.
The insertion point for text appears as a flashing vertical bar. As you type text, the flashing vertical bar moves to the right of the text you type. A text insertion point also defines the place in the text where you want to paste cut or copied items or, with the Text Editor, insert files and templates.
How to insert a line in Word by drawing Click Insert in the ribbon tabs and then, in the Illustrations section, click Shapes. In the Lines category of the dropdown menu, choose the line shape you prefer. Click where you want the line to begin and drag the mouse to where you want the line to end. Release the mouse.
A shortened form of a signature block (sometimes called a signature line), only including ones name, often with some distinguishing prefix, can be used to simply indicate the end of a post or response.
The function of the signature block is to ensure that the contracting parties have duly signed the contract. In some cases, the signature block will require additional elements to adequately seal the deal.
