Initials are the capital letters that begin each word of a name. For example, if your full name is Michael Dennis Stocks, your initials are M.D.S. a silver Porsche with her initials JB on the side.

Click the Insert tab. Click the Header button on the ribbon. Choose the first option, Blank. Word inserts a blank header showing [Type text] at the top of the document. Double-click the [Type text] wording and type your initials.
Choose Change User Name. Click into the Initials text box under the Personalize your copy of Microsoft Office section. Type your initials. Click the OK button. Your initials will now appear in the document anytime you use an option on the Review tab such as adding a new comment or deleting a word.
