How to add a digital signature to a PDF document with docHub Open your document in docHub. Click the Tools tab and scroll down to the Forms and Certificates section. Click on Digitally Sign from the new options bar. Select the digital signature you want to use and click Continue.
This means a signature could be written to capture the full name of a person. On the other hand, initials are just a letter from a name usually the first letter of a name. However, it is important to note that despite the differences, both signature and initial can be used on documents and are acceptable.
Open the PDF document or form in Acrobat or Reader, and click Fill Sign in the right pane. Click the Sign icon in the Fill Sign toolbar, and then choose whether you want to add your signature or just initials. If you have already added signatures or initials, they are displayed as options to choose from.
You have three options for adopting a signature and initials. All options are equally secure. Choose a font and adopt your name and initials in that font. Write your name and initials with your mouse on your computer or with your finger on a tablet or smartphone. Upload a scanned version of your handwritten signature.
How to create fillable PDF files: Open Acrobat: Click on the Tools tab and select Prepare Form. Select a file or scan a document: Acrobat will automatically analyze your document and add form fields.
