I downloaded this ebook for free from HubSpot, and you can do the same. Ill include that link in the description. So first, I made facing pages with this because thats the normal way that youll have to deal with ebooks is in a booklet form. And thats how I want to show you how to add page numbers to these. Okay, so first off, youll want to go to your master pages which are right up here in your Pages palette. To bring that up, youll go to WindowPages and just select it here. Okay, so first, lets go to the A Master and Ill double click over here on the little page picture. Okay, now this will give us our master page, and it shows you whatever is on every single page. Right now theres nothing there. So Im going to put my page number here and here. And lets just go ahead and get started. Im gonna hit T to get the text tool and draw a littl

Choose Insert > Table of Contents (from the Insert menu at the top of your computer screen), then choose an option: Document: Gathers entries from the entire document. Section: Gathers entries from only the section where you're inserting the table of contents.
Click Edit at the top of the sidebar, then select the paragraph styles you want to include. Place the insertion point where you want the table of contents to appear, then do one of the following: Add a TOC for the whole document: Click the Insert Table of Contents button at the bottom of the Table of Contents sidebar.
You can add photos and graphics to any page and replace media placeholders with your own images. You can add photos from photo albums on your device, insert photos and images from iCloud, or take a photo with your device and add it directly to your document.
Pages does not support the ability to generate a document index. It can however, build a Table of Contents from allowed paragraph styles used in your document. Applications that support true document indexing are MS Word, LibreOffice Writer (free), and Mellel to name a few available on macOS.
