In other words maybe youre going back and forth between a writer and an editor or several editors and you want to leave notes in the document. Another is purely visual. You can add stories to appear on your profile as highlights, even after they disappear. Highlights appear below your profile photo. To add story highlights, log into the Instagram app for Android or iPhone and then follow the instructions below. Tap or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
Sometimes we want to add Instagram Highlights without putting it up as our Story or without anyone seeing it. Unfortunately, there is no way to do that directly.
Its possible to add Highlights without posting or adding them to your stories. You can achieve this by turning on the Private mode. You will need to block Instagram users, including your followers, from viewing your stories for 24 hours.
Highlight text Select the text that you want to highlight. On the Home tab, select the arrow next to Text Highlight Color . Choose a color. The text you selected will be highlighted in the color you chose.
To add a story to a highlight: Tap or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile. Tap . If you dont see , tap Story highlight. Tap to select the story or stories you want to add to highlights, then tap Next. Choose a cover photo and enter a story name for your highlight, then tap Add.
How to Add a Story to Highlights Without Adding It to Story Switch your Profile to Private. Create a Story like you usually would. Go to your Story settings. Tap Hide story from. Tap the bubbles next to all of your friends to hide the Story from them. Or, you can block everyone so they cant see your Story.
There is a possibility to create highlights from the stories archive as well. Using the story controls and options you can pull the stories you save to archive. In the new window, tap and select the stories you want to appear in the Highlight and tap Next. Tap Add (iPhone) or Done (Android).
Highlight selected text Select the text that you want to highlight. Go to Home and select the arrow next to Text Highlight Color. Select the color that you want. Note: Use a light highlight color if you plan to print the document by using a monochrome palette or printer.
