hello type choice here in todayamp;#39;s video iamp;#39;ll be showing you how to highlight text in docHub illustrator so without further ado letamp;#39;s get right into it okay so the first thing we need to do is to create some text that we can create a highlight off so to create a text go over to your tools panel and choose the type tool the keyboard shortcut for that is t and just press on the artboard just like this and letamp;#39;s write some text and we can just scale this up so we can see it a little better hold down shift and alt and just drag it up so we can see it and letamp;#39;s just center it just like this we can just give it a font or just choose celvetica you can use whatever font you would like just like this we have now created our text and weamp;#39;re now ready to actually create the highlight behind this text you first want to open the appearance panel you can find that if you go up in window and go down to appearance right here keyboard shortcut for that is sh
