If headers are the bold, striking elements that lead a user into a sites content and give the first impressions, then footers might well be seen as the parting thoughts of a website; a graphical bookend to all of the other elements on the page.
The first way is to use the Columns tool, which can be found under the Type menu. Simply select the number of columns you want, and then click and drag to create your column. You can also adjust the width of each column by clicking and dragging the sides of the column.
Do one of the following: Select the cells or table you want to embed, and then choose Edit Cut or Copy. Place the insertion point in the cell where you want the table to appear, and then choose Edit Paste. Click inside a cell, choose Table Insert Table, specify the number of rows and columns, and then click OK.
Add images to a header or footer Go to Insert Header or Footer Blank (or a simple template). Double-click [Type here] in the header or footer area. Select Pictures or Online Pictures and then select your picture. Select Close Header and Footer or press Esc to exit.
To do this, create a text box and then go to Object Text Box Create Text Box for each Column. Enter the desired number of columns and width and Photoshop will automatically create the text boxes for you.
Specify columns for an image Choose Edit Preferences Units Rulers (Windows) or Photoshop Preferences Units Rulers (Mac OS). Enter values for Width and Gutter. Use the File New command to create a new image, select Columns for the Width value, and enter the number of columns you need for the new document.
The most common size for a web pages header is still 1024 pixels wide, despite the fact that screens are getting larger. Websites are built to be viewed at a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. The file sizes shown above are for high-resolution images that can easily scale to maintain higher than 1920px resolutions.
