Lets talk about how to write chemical formulas for ionic compounds. So what this means is were going to start the chemical name like Magnesium Chloride and learn the steps that we have to go through to take this chemical name and use it to write a chemical formula like MgCl2, okay? Lets start with the first example, Lithium Oxide. So when Im doing these kind of problems, the first thing that I want to do is find both these elements on the periodic table. Im using this kind of weird version of the periodic table that I just wrote out. I left out a lot of the elements because theyre not important for what were doing here and I thought that theyre kind of distracting but dont be confused. This really is no different from periodic table you probably have in your book, its just that its missing a lot of the elements. Anyway, Lithium . . . where do I find that? Its right here, Li, and Oxide. Oxide is just another word for Oxygen, its what we call Oxygen when Oxygen has a charge

Intersection over Union calculation example Area of Overlap: 5 * 5 = 25; Area of Union: Area of the Red Bounding Box + Area of the Green Bounding Box - Area of Overlap = 10 10 + 10 10 - 25 = 175. IoU: Area of Overlap / Area of Union = 25 / 175 ~ 0.14 - poor IoU.
Intersection Over Union (IoU) is a number that quantifies the degree of overlap between two boxes. In the case of object detection and segmentation, IoU evaluates the overlap of the Ground Truth and Prediction region.
Intersection over Union (IoU) is used when calculating mAP. It is a number from 0 to 1 that specifies the amount of overlap between the predicted and ground truth bounding box. IoU is an important accuracy measure to track when gathering human annotations.
Coding a function for IOU in python: The function IOU takes in 2 boxes, box1 and box2 as input. The data in each box is a list containing[x1, y1, x2, y2], which is the top left, and bottom right coordinates. We find the area of the intersection, followed by the area of the union, as described earlier.
Intersection over Union (IoU) is used when calculating mAP. It is a number from 0 to 1 that specifies the amount of overlap between the predicted and ground truth bounding box.
Intersection Over Union (IoU) is a number that quantifies the degree of overlap between two boxes. In the case of object detection and segmentation, IoU evaluates the overlap of the Ground Truth and Prediction region.
To define the term, in Machine Learning, IoU means Intersection over Union - a metric used to evaluate Deep Learning algorithms by estimating how well a predicted mask or bounding box matches the ground truth data.
Note: 0.5 IoU is typically considered a good score, while 1 is perfect in theory.
