Click the Insert tab on the Word ribbon. Click Quick Parts in the Text group. Click Field to open the Field dialog box. Click FileName from the Field Names list. Click a capitalization format in the Format list. Check the box, if you want, to Add path to filename.
Go to Insert Header or Footer. Select Edit Header or Edit Footer. Select Quick Parts and select Field. In the Field names list, choose the field you want (such as FileName, Date, Author, or Title), choose the format you want in the Field properties section.
On the View menu, click Show File Names.
If you want to personalize a document by including your recipients first names, insert the FirstName merge field on its own. Click or tap where you want the merge field. Choose the down-arrow under Insert Merge Field, and select a field. If you dont see your field name in the list, choose Insert Merge Field.
Re: How to change the author. The document author is set from the information under Tools Options OO.org User Data, which you can change to whatever you want. When you start a new document, the author name is copied from there.
Insert the file name via menu InsertField commandFile name . Right click on the field. Now you can choose what information you would like to have.
The . ODT format is a type of document file - . ODTs contain formatted text and are created by programmes such as LibreOffice Writer or Apache OpenOffice Writer - both of which are word processors.
Answer Open the footer by double clicking in it. At the top of the screen there will be a Quick Parts button. Click on Quick Parts and then on Field. In the field names list, click FileName. To include the path, or server address, select the Add path to filename check box. Click OK.
