How to strikethrough in Google Docs Highlight the text you want to cross out. Select Format from the top menu. Choose the first item on the dropdown menu: Text Select Strikethrough
To create a line break or new line (``), end a line with two or more spaces, and then type return.
To use strikethrough, all you need to do is click the icon found in the upper ribbon in your word processor (usually next to other formatting options such as bold, italic), or if possible, a keyboard shortcut may work, such as ctrl+u for Microsoft word, and some others.
To create inline code, wrap with backticks ` . To create a code block, either indent each line by 4 spaces, or place 3 backticks ``` on a line above and below the code block. A code block or span displays every character inside exactly as it was typed.
To create a fenced code block that spans multiple lines of code, set the text inside three or more backquotes ( ``` ) or tildes ( ~~~ ).
On a PC, use the following shortcut to strike through text: Select the text you want to strike through. Press Ctrl+D.
Using markdown, you can cross out text (strikethrough) by putting two tildes (~) before and after the words you want to cross out.
An exclamation mark: ! ; followed by a set of square brackets, containing the alt attribute text for the image; followed by a set of parentheses, containing the URL or path to the image, and an optional title attribute enclosed in double or single quotes.
