On the Home tab, click the Dialog Box Launcher next to Number. Tip: You can also press Ctrl+1 to open the Format Cells dialog box. In the Format Cells dialog box, in the Category list, click Currency or Accounting. In the Symbol box, click the currency symbol that you want.
If you are writing out an amount in euros, use the currency symbol or euro sign . Note that the symbol goes before the amount and that there is no space between them (e.g. 50). The rent on Jose and Marias Spanish villa is 750 a month.
A. Chicago style is to either use numbers with a symbol (or abbreviation) or spell out the whole phrase, so 2,000 or EUR 2,000 or two thousand euros would do.
Select the cell in which you want to enter the Euro symbol. Double click on the cell to get into the edit mode (or press F2) Place the cursor where you want the Euro Symbol (if its a blank cell, skip this step). Hold the ALT key and then press 0128 (in succession, one key after the other)
1. Using the Alt keyboard shortcut to add the euro symbol: Place the cursor where you want the euro sign to appear. On the numeric keyboard, hold down Alt while pressing 0128. Use the numeric keypads NumLock button if the sequence doesnt work.
In the Field Properties section, click the arrow in the Format property box, and select a format from the drop-down list. After you select a format, the Property Update Options button appears, and lets you to apply your new format to any other table fields and form controls that would logically inherit it.
In Statistics Explained articles the symbol should be used for euro in the text if it is followed by a number. This applies also to graphs and tables. It should be placed before the figure: 30.
The (mostly) in Europe used Currency Format is the Decimal Comma as Decimal Separator and the Point as Thousands seperator .
