Open a model onto which you want to imprint some text using a single-line font. Click Insert Features Wrap . In the PropertyManager: Under Wrap Type, select Scribe .
To emboss or deboss, use the Wrap feature (on the Features toolbar). Grab the text and the sketch you have created. This gives you the ability to emboss or deboss, to add or remove material or just do a scribe if you want to do a split line on the surface.
Inserting Custom Text In the SOLIDWORKS 3D PDF Template Editor, click Text . Click to place the text block on the page. In the PropertyManager, click Text Field . In Field name, type a name. In Instructions, type the instructions that appear in the Custom Text dialog box when you publish the 3D PDF document.
To sketch text on a part: Click a face of a part. (Sketch toolbar) or Tools Sketch Entities Text . To create a profile for placing the text, sketch a circle or a continuous profile from lines, arcs, or splines in a sketch, close the sketch, then open another sketch for the text.
Drag/drop the DXF into SW (not into an existing part), choose to open it as a 2D sketch. Edit the results as needed. Select everything. Insert - Block - Make Block. Copy the block. Go to the part you want the logo on. Paste in the block (just like pasting a sketch) Constrain / scale the block as needed.
