the first thing we need to do is load our long fiber tape seen here through our button and were the independent internal brace were gonna use the double loaded tightrope as seen here which has a number two tiger wire passing suture theres also a number five through this second hole here to pass the fiber tape were first going to remove the number five suture so now were going to do is were going to pass the stiff end of the fiber tape through this hole alongside our mechanism so conveniently the fiber tape has a stiffed waxed end and so we can pass it through alongside as seen here so we want to make sure that theres two passes through the button with the fiber tape and we want to make sure that we have it oriented properly so that the two free ends of the tape are going to be on the tibial side take the other stiff end which is much easier through the vacated hole from the passing suture that we removed then were going to even out the tapes so now we have our independent inte

Your surgeon will drill sockets or tunnels into your thighbone and shinbone to accurately position the graft, which is then secured to your bones with screws or other devices. The graft will serve as scaffolding on which new ligament tissue can grow.
The anterior cruciate ligament originates at the medial wall of the lateral femoral condyle and inserts into the middle of the intercondylar area. It contributes significantly to the stabilization and kinematics of the knee joint.
The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is one of the key ligaments that help stabilize the knee joint. The ACL connects the thighbone (femur) to the shinbone (tibia).
Your next question may be, where is my new ACL coming from? There are 4 common areas where your new ACL can come from. These are: the quadriceps tendon autograft, the patellar tendon autograft, the hamstring tendon autograft, and a cadaver allograft.
In ACL reconstruction, a replacement ligament (graft) is attached to tunnels drilled into the end of the femur (thigh bone) and tibia (shin bone). Often screws are used to attach the graft to the bone.
Your surgeon will make a tunnel in your bone to pass the new tissue through. The graft tissue will be positioned in the same place as the old ACL and held in place with screws or staples that will remain in your knee permanently.
The ACL attaches in front of the intercondyloid eminence of the tibia, where it blends with the anterior horn of the medial meniscus.
The PCL originates from the anterolateral aspect of the medial femoral condyle within the notch and inserts along the posterior aspect of the tibial plateau, approximately 1 cm distal to the joint line.
ACL surgery involves reconstructing the ligament. Surgeons use screws to attach the reconstructed ligament to the femur (thigh bone) and the tibia (shin bone). A person may experience pain after surgery due to the placement of these screws. Pain may also be a sign of ACL surgery failure.
Structure. The ACL originates from deep within the notch of the distal femur. Its proximal fibers fan out along the medial wall of the lateral femoral condyle. The two bundles of the ACL are the anteromedial and the posterolateral, named ing to where the bundles insert into the tibial plateau.
