To indent the current line, or a visual block: ctrl-t, ctrl-d - indent current line forward, backwards (insert mode) visual or - indent block by sw (repeat with . ) then try hitting the F5 key while in insert mode (or just :set paste ).
On most computers, you can create a hanging indent by selecting the line you want indented and then holding down the Ctrl and T buttons at the same time. If you are using a Mac, press Cmd T instead.
To indent the first line of a paragraph, put your cursor at the beginning of the paragraph and press the tab key. When you press Enter to start the next paragraph, its first line will be indented.
Indent the first line in a paragraph In the ruler, drag the first line indent marker (the orange rectangle) to set a new indent. In the Format sidebar, click the Layout button near the top, click the disclosure arrow next to Indents, then click the arrows next to First.
Press Command + ] to indent right, or Command + [ to indent left.
Indent and Outdent Press Tab or ⌘] . From the main menu, select Outline Indent. From the context menu, select Indent.
In the ruler, drag the margin marker (the orange triangle) to set a new margin. In the Format sidebar, click the Style button near the top, then click one of the default indent buttons in the Alignment section to increase or decrease the indent of an entire paragraph.
The correct answer is Ctrl + M. Ctrl + M shortcut key is used to Indent a paragraph from the left. To indent text, move the cursor to the front of the line and press the Tab key on the keyboard.
