You can: pay the full amount of rent that is overdue, move out voluntarily, make a rent payment plan or moving plan in agreement with the landlord, temporarily stop the eviction by filing for bankruptcy, wait for the sheriffs deputy to show up to your doorstep, or try to fight the eviction in court.
The requirements are: Within 24 hours if youre without water, electricity, or heat in the winter or if there is a life/safety issue. Within 72 hours if your refrigerator, oven, or stove are not working or you have a major plumbing issue with your sink or bathtub. Within 10 days for any other repair request.

If the tenant does not pay the rent within 3 days of receiving the 3-day period, he or she must still move out in 30 days. If the tenant does not move out after the 30 days, then the landlord has to file an unlawful detainer case.
The landlord/lessor has 24 hours to do this if the repair is needed to a defined essential service, and 48 hours for any other urgent repair. The repair does not need to be fixed within this time but the lessor must make an appointment with the repairer to fix the problem.
But what if the landlord ignores those deadlines and refuses to fix the problem? Under state law, you can: Contact your local code enforcement office. Repair the issue yourself and deduct up to one months rent. Hire somebody to fix it and deduct up to two months rent. Break the lease.
If you get a 30 or 60-day Notices to Quit, it must be in writing and include: The tenant(s) full name(s) The rental homes address. That the month-to-month tenancy will end in 30 days if theyre giving a 30-day Notice or in 60 days if theyre giving a 60-day Notice.
24 hours to restore lost heat or water or remedy a condition that is imminently hazardous to life; 24 hours to provide hot or cold water, heat, or electricity; landlord, the refrigerator, range, and oven; not more than 10 days for other repairs.
