Is a stock transfer form a J30 or J10?

A share transfer form is a legal record of the change of ownership of company shares between two people or entities. There used to be two types of transfer form: the J10 was used for two or more transferors and the J30 for where there was just one. Our form provides for one or two.

When should I date the STF?

The STF. The STF should be dated 25 January, the date of its execution, rather than as of 31 December. The date of execution of the SPA, the date of transfer of beneficial ownership and other dates are not relevant to the date of the STF.

Can a share transfer form be backdated?

Documents relating to share transfers must not be backdated.

Which date should be entered in the register of members upon a transfer of shares the date at which the stock transfer form was signed or the date at which it was stamped?

The date of transfer will be the date when the transfer is written up in the register and not the date of the transfer itself (i.e. when the consideration was transferred, and the transaction completed).

Does stock transfer form need to be stamped?

How do you date a stock transfer form?

The person signing should state the capacity in which they sign. Note 14 Give the date on which the certificate is signed. If no date is written on the front of the Stock Transfer form, the date at which the Exemption Certificate is signed will be treated as the date of the transfer.
