hi everyone and welcome to this video where ill show you how to add a vertical line to show todays dates in a gantt chart in our example we have a gantt chart which shows our progress towards achieving certain tasks if you want to create a gantt chart like this one then check out the video in the description below what we want to do is have a line showing todays date so that we know where in the project plan we currently are to get started we need to fill in this table here which contains a y-axis heading and a heading for todays dates where todays date represents the x-axis the rationale for this is as follows to create our vertical line well need to use a scatter chart and in order to create one we need to tell excel what the x and y coordinates will be for now lets fill this table in with todays dates which will assume to be the 26th of june 2021 and for the y-axis well type 0 and 9 as the coordinates ill explain why were doing this later on what we want to do now is add
