hi Im Jeff and you want to know how to put the date in a cell in Microsoft Excel now there are actually two good functions for this one of which just gives you exactly what the date is right now and the other which gives you the specific date youre looking for that way you dont have to worry about formatting issues it knows what date you mean and you can just pull Matt out however you need to here Ive got a new document open Im going to put into this first cell a new function always start function with equals sign and then all caps now n o W right now and dont forget the parentheses afterwards even though were not putting anything in them theyre necessary for the function to work hit enter and you can see that its giving me the date right now if youre wondering when we were filling this here it is now you can also format this in other ways you need to if I select that cell and right click go to format cells I can actually change the way the data peers I can choose from all t

Heres how you can get the missing date and time icons back on your Windows taskbar: Right-click on an empty spot on your Windows taskbar and select Taskbar settings. Scroll until you docHub Notification area and click on Turn system icons on or off. Locate Clock in the list of system icons and switch it on.
Navigate to Control Panel Clock, Language and Region Date and time Set the time and date Internet time Change settings check Synchronize with an Internet time server and click Update now.
To access the BIOS or System Setup on Dell computers: Press the F2 key several times at the Dell logo screen during startup. Or, press the F12 key several times at the Dell logo screen during startup, and select BIOS Setup or System Setup from the menu.
Press Windows + R key on the keyboard. In the Run dialog box, type msinfo32 and press the Enter key. In the System Information window, look for BIOS Version/Date (Figure 2).
Turn on the computer. At the Dell logo, tap the F2 key several times.
Step 1: Press the windows button and type in system information; then press Enter Button. Step 2: From the system summary window that opens up; check for BIOS DATE/VERSION from items in the table listed, it provides with the name of the manufacturer and the date the laptop was made.
Step 1: Check Dell System BIOS Version 1st way: check via Command Prompt. Press Windows + S. 2nd way: check from System Information. Press Windows + R.
Press the F2 Key (if attached to a keyboard) or the Volume Down button to enter the BIOS menu. Once in the BIOS, reset the custom BIOS options (if any). Verify that the date and time are correct, and change any other needed BIOS menu options for your normal configuration and then restart the computer.
Use the F2 prompt to enter the BIOS. Go to the date and time section and set it to the correct date and time. Save and exit, booting into the operating system.
