The filing fee for appeals and original proceedings in the district court of appeal is $300. 35.22(2)(a), Fla. Stat. The filing fee for a cross-appeal, notice of joinder, or motion to intervene as appellant or petitioner is $295.
Date of appeal means the postmark date or date of receipt of appellants written request for an appeal; whichever is earlier, at the address specified in the notice.
How much time do I have to file a notice of appeal? Thirty days from the date the order you are appealing is filed in the lower tribunal or court or thirty days from the date an order on a motion tolling the time to appeal is filed. See Florida Rules of Appellate Procedure 9.020(h).

Format of Your Notice of Appeal Specifically, the notice must contain a caption, the name of the court to which the appeal is taken, the date of rendition, and the nature of the order to be reviewed. It is also critical to attach a copy of the order on appeal to the notice.
An appellate court may issue its opinion, or decision, in as little as a month or as long as a year or more. The average time period is 6 months, but there is no time limit. Length of time does not indicate what kind of decision the court will docHub.
