Insert a static date or time into an Excel cell To insert the current date, press Ctrl+; (semi-colon). To insert the current time, press. + ; (semi-colon). To insert the current date and time, press Ctrl+; (semi-colon), then press Space, and then press. + ; (semi-colon).
Open the Access report or form in Design view or Layout view. On the Design tab, in the Header / Footer group, click Date and Time. The Date and Time dialog box appears. Clear the Include Date check box if you do not want to include the date.
A Date and Time field is one of the most common field types used in Word and is a good example of how fields work. Click the Insert tab. Click the Date and Time button. Select a date format. Check the Update automatically check box. Click OK.

If the Controls task pane is not visible, click More Controls on the Insert menu, or press ALT+I, C. Under Insert controls, click Date Picker. In the Date Picker Binding dialog box, select the field in which you want to store the date picker data, and then click OK.
Ctrl + ; shortcut inserts the today date in a cell. Ctrl + Shift + ; shortcut inserts the current time. To enter the current date and time, press Ctrl + ; then press the Space key, and then Ctrl + Shift + ;.
To insert the current date and time, press Alt+Shift+F. To insert only the date, press Alt+Shift+D.
