Add new form fields: Use the top toolbar and adjust the layout using tools in the right pane. Save your fillable PDF:
In the Format tab, select the Format Category (in this case, Date). The Date Options appear. Select the format for this form control (in this case, mm/dd/yyyy). In the General tab, specify Date (mm/dd/yyyy) for the Name and Tooltip for the control.
Use numerals when you see MM, DD, and YY or YYYY on a form. Use a 0 before single-digit days and months as needed. If youre asked to provide the date as MM/DD/YY you could write 05/12/94. If youre asked for DD-MM-YYYY, this date would be 12-05-1994.
Open the PDF document or form in Acrobat or Reader, and click Fill Sign in the right pane. Click the Sign icon in the Fill Sign toolbar, and then choose whether you want to add your signature or just initials. If you have already added signatures or initials, they are displayed as options to choose from.
Select All Properties General tab and name the field Today. 2. Select the Format tab, chooses Date for the format category, and chooses a month, day, and year format option (for example, mmm d, yyyy). On the General tab, make sure the field is read-only because it will be a calculated field, and click Close.
