How to add someone to a group text message Tap the group message that you want to add someone to. Tap the group icons at the top of the thread. Tap the gray arrow icon to the right of the contacts, then tap Add Contact . Type the contact that you want to add, then tap Done.

Create and manage contacts in Messages on Mac In the Messages app on your Mac, select a conversation. In the menu bar, choose Conversation Add to Contacts. If you see Show Contact Card instead of Add to Contacts, you already have a card for that person. Fill in the fields in the contact card.
macOSs Contacts app lives in the /Applications folder at the root of your Startup Disk. When you add new Contacts, each page, or vCard is stored in a local database on disk at ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook (the Contacts app was called Address Book in earlier versions of macOS).
