Symbol Placement In the US, were used to the dollar symbol being to the left of the dollar amount. But currency symbol placement changes based on geographic location. For example, countries in the European Union place the euro symbol to the right of the dollar amount.

How is Currency Valued? Currency value is determined by aggregate supply and demand. Supply and demand are influenced by a number of factors, including interest rates, inflation, capital flow, and money supply. The most common method to value currency is through exchange rates.
Simply click the B column header to select all cells in the B column. Click the Kutools tab. This is near the top of the Excel window. Click Currency Conversion.
On the Home tab, click the Dialog Box Launcher next to Number. Tip: You can also press Ctrl+1 to open the Format Cells dialog box. In the Format Cells dialog box, in the Category list, click Currency or Accounting. In the Symbol box, click the currency symbol that you want.
Convert currencies in Excel with the Excel function. In this case, 1 USD = 0.88462 EUR. So, enter 0.88462 in cell C2. In cell D2, enter the formula =B2 * $C$2, and drag the fill handle over the range cell that you want to contain the procedure.
