Apply or remove single-line strikethrough formatting Select the text that you want to format. Go to Home Strikethrough.
1. Ctrl + 5 - This shortcut key will instantly strikethrough any text that you have selected. Simply highlight the text that you want to strikethrough and then press Ctrl + 5 on your keyboard.
Press Ctrl + D. The Font dialog box appears. Press Alt + K to select Strikethrough (note that k is the underlined letter). Press Enter.
If you want to strikethrough and bold the cells at the same time, you can simply press Ctrl + B after youve already applied the strikethrough formatting. This shortcut will apply italic formatting to the selected cells. As with the bold formatting, you can use this shortcut before or after you strikethrough the cells.
Strikethrough Shortcut Key Press Ctrl+D or choose Font from the Format menu. Hold down Alt+Ctrl and, at the same time, press the plus sign on the numeric keypad. Click on the Strikethrough check box in the Font dialog box. Type whatever shortcut key you want to use for the strikethrough format. Click the Assign button.
