In the desktop application, highlighted your text, go to Format Text, and click the ab icon. Apply a double strikethrough by highlighting your text, right-clicking the selection, and choosing Font Double strikethrough. If youre using the Outlook web app, select the text, then click Strikethrough.
For Windows, once you have selected the text you want to cross out, press Alt+Shift+5. For Mac, press Command+Shift+X.
The standard way to use the strikethrough feature is to select the text you want to strikethrough and then select the strikethrough feature on the home tab. However, Word also has shortcuts that you can use to achieve the same thing. Press CTRL + D.
To access the Font dialog box using a keyboard shortcut and then apply Strikethrough: Select the text you want to strikethrough. Press Ctrl + D. The Font dialog box appears. Press Alt + K to select Strikethrough (note that k is the underlined letter). Press Enter.
If you want to strikethrough and bold the cells at the same time, you can simply press Ctrl + B after youve already applied the strikethrough formatting. This shortcut will apply italic formatting to the selected cells. As with the bold formatting, you can use this shortcut before or after you strikethrough the cells.
