welcome back everyone in this video were going to be talking about how to create title blocks in how to can in the previous video um i showed you guys how to move from model space to paper space how to create a layout in the paper space how to set up your page to a printer you would like to print your drawing you have to create um multiple viewports with different uh scales so were going to review on all that as well as were going to prepare basic talk to block and search the logo of the company create layouts for two different sheet sizes uh with the same title block were going to save what you have is a dwt file as a drawing template file so that you can reuse it in your future drawings you can start off your drawings from a standard dwt file that contains your title block with the logo of the company so it will save you a lot of time and then finally um were gonna start off with what you have created as a dwt file and uh prepare a printout okay so finally uh in this video you

To insert a title block, follow these steps: First, locate or download a Title Block template. Open up a blank drawing and click on the Layout tab on the bottom left corner. Click Modify and you will be presented with a pop up window. Click on the Insert tab and then on the Insert button on the far left side.
To Attach an Image Click Insert tab References panel Attach. Find. In the Select Image File dialog box, select a file name from the list or enter the name of the image file in the File Name box. Click Open. In the Image dialog box, use one of the following methods to specify insertion point, scale, or rotation: Click OK.
To Edit a Title Block (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset) Double-click the title block to edit. In the Change Title Block Entry dialog box, edit the settings. Click OK.
Select Title Block Attributes. Use command XREF and select in the dialog Attach Image to insert the logo. When done editing, select Close Block Editor and save when prompted. Return to the Title Block Setup tab and select Return to Project Setup (saving changes).
Lets open the logo image we want in AutoCAD, in Paint. Use Ctrl A to select the image then Ctrl C to copy to the paste buffer. You can also click on Copy from the clipboard menu. Now if we go back to AutoCAD, we use the Paste Special to place the image into our AutoCAD paper space.
To Create a Title Block Start a blank new drawing. Draw your drawing border using standard AutoCAD commands and objects. Enter ATTDEF at the command prompt to insert attribute definition objects. Enter the Tag name, for example DESC1, DESC2, SHEET, SHEETTOTAL. Set any other attribute definition properties and values.
Select Title Block Attributes. Use command XREF and select in the dialog Attach Image to insert the logo. When done editing, select Close Block Editor and save when prompted. Return to the Title Block Setup tab and select Return to Project Setup (saving changes).
A title block is comprised of the information boxes found on the bottom right- hand corner of a drawing, which indicate drawing details such as the title, author name, scale, and date the drawing was created. This is an introductory activity designed to be completed prior to any other board drawing activities.
