hi guys welcome to my channel so in this video i am going to explain to you how uh to post code in a medium article so if you are making a uh making an article in which you have to share some code usually it is not very easy to share it in the normal format so it will be very difficult the retaining the formatting tabs and spaces everything it is kind of difficult in the normal uh medium format so we can use two methods the first method is using a code block so we can access a code block by using ctrl alt 6 in windows or command alt 6 in mac so after that you can just type your code include so you can see that the uh font has changed to typewriter format and also it will support so uh you can you can directly copy the code from your note from your code editor so it will retain the format okay so uh this is a method which can be used for uh shorter codes so if you have a big code then you can uh use another method which is by using a github gist you can generate a github just by going

To create inline code, wrap with backticks ` . To create a code block, either indent each line by 4 spaces, or place 3 backticks ``` on a line above and below the code block. A code block or span displays every character inside exactly as it was typed.
Here is the best way, for me, to add code inside word: Go to Insert tab, Text section, click Object button (its on the right) Choose OpenDocument Text which will open a new embedded word document. Copy and paste your code from Visual Studio / Eclipse inside this embedded word page. Save and close.
