Add a link Control-click an object, text box, or selected text you want to turn into a link, choose Add Link, then choose a destination (Webpage, Email, Phone Number, Page, or Bookmark). Specify details for the destination:

Windows and Mac Click the address in your browser. Select the entire address if it isnt already. Copy the selected address by right-clicking the selection and clicking Copy, or by pressing Ctrl / ⌘ Cmd + C . Place your cursor where you want to paste the link and press Ctrl / ⌘ Cmd + V .
Go to the Insert tab, click the Object drop-down arrow, and pick Object. On the Create New tab, select OpenDocument Text as the Object Type. Click OK. A new Word document will open for you to insert your code or command.
