Make a Circle Around a Cell in Google Sheets Select a cell where you want to add a circle (B5) and in the menu, go to Insert Drawing. 2. In the Drawing window, (1) click the shape icon, then (2) select Shapes and (3) choose a shape (e.g., Rounded Rectangle).
