Do you ever want to type characters that arent on a standard keyboard? How do you do it? Every character has a numeric code. For instance, capital A is 65, capital B is 66, lowercase a is 97, lowercase b is 98, and so on. To insert a special character: 1. Make sure Num Lock is on 2. Hold ALT and type the code on the numeric keypad Even though the codes are only 2 or 3 digits, preface them with 0s to get 4 digits. That way, you will get the proper code. For instance, ALT-247 is while ALT-0247 is Any Windows application will recognize these codes. You can make a reference for yourself using Excel. On a blank worksheet, enter =Row() in cell A1. That way, you dont have to create numbers yourself. To copy this formula to A255, press Ctrl-G (Goto). Then type A1:A255 and press ENTER.
