We must add the \bibliographystyle and the \bibliography commands at the end of each included file. By default, the report and book document classes consider the bibliography an unnumbered chapter.
You can use \S in LaTeX to produce the section symbol (U+00A7) often found in legal documents.
Referencing Sections Section labels are generated using the \label command and can then be referenced using \ref . \section{Example Section} \label{sec:example-section} \ref{sec:example-section} is an example of \texttt{section}.
A table of contents is produced with the \tableofcontents command. You put the command right where you want the table of contents to go; LaTeX does the rest for you. Entries are taken from the Sectioning commands. \tableofcontents produces a heading, but it does not automatically start a new page.
Creating sections The \section{..} command is used to insert sections into your document, where the section name is entered in the curly brackets. The command \subsection{..} inserts a subsection into the document. The command \subsubsection{..} inserts a second-level subsection.
If youd prefer your sections, subsection, and so forth to be displayed without numbers on the left side of the title, you simply add a * symbol to the command. (Note that section headings created this way will not be listed in the table of contents \tableofcontents.)
Add chapter numbers to captions in Word Select the first chapter heading in your document. On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click the arrow next to Multilevel List. Click a chapter-numbering list definition (one that includes the text Heading 1 or Chapter 1).
