hi welcome to this tutorial about data match have you ever faced a problem where you have hundreds of certificates that are supposed to bear names of participants its quite complicated if you choose to type set or copy one name at a time and paste it into other certificate now in this tutorial we are going to see how you can do that in a very simple way using indesigns data merge a script first of all ask the client to give you the names of the participants in an excel sheet and open that sheet or work a book when you open these names please save these names as save as type csv comma delimited this format here is the one that works with indesign is determined just accept this and having said that please make sure you close this do not save having already saved it prompts you again but dont save now come over to indedocHub and for a new document i will not i know i dont need defacing pages and i need a4 size say okay now go to your pages panel of indesign if you dont find it her
