hello welcome to concepts of cloud in this video we will see how to enable password authentication for a user so that that user can log in into an easy2 instance without using ssh keypair to enable this login into the server in which you want to enable password authentication login as root sudo hyphen i is the command which is used for login as a root in ec2 instance now i am logged in as a root we have to edit a ssd file so bi slash it is less sss less access config enter check for the permit root login enable that if you want to permit root login so here you could see permit root login uncomment this right now it is in command form and comment this now you could see its color change similarly allow for password authentication here we have password authentication it is commented right now uncomment this and comment password authentication as no save this file restart the sshd service add a user i am adding my name as user so user add i gave wrong path so let me correct it okay i misse

How to Enable Password Authentication in AWS ec2 Instances Login to AWS instances. ssh -i your-key.pem username@ipaddress. Set up a password for the user using passwd command along with the username. Edit sshdconfig file. Restart the SSH service. Now we can log in using the password you set for the user.
Configure password-based SSH authentication Log in to the server console as the bitnami user. Edit the /etc/ssh/sshdconfig and modify or add the following line: PasswordAuthentication yes. Restart the SSH server for the new configuration to take effect: sudo /etc/init.d/ssh force-reload sudo /etc/init.d/ssh restart.
