The first method involves selecting the text to replace in your document and pressing the insert field button, which opens the variable editor. Here, you can name your variable and enter the corresponding question for the end user, selecting the appropriate variable type (e.g., date or number) if needed. After pressing OK, the variable is inserted into the document and added to the dictionary, with an option to replace all instances of the selected text. The second method allows you to create variables by clicking the plus icon and selecting "new variable" from the dictionary editor, which also opens a version of the variable editor.
