were going to be updating the google doc ui so that we can set a formatted date anywhere within the document by pressing the ui button add date and this will add the date wherever the cursor currently is within the dock making it really easy to select adding dates and this date can dynamically be set within the google apps script code and ill show you how to set it to the current date in this lesson this project we are going to be creating a bound script to a google doc so ive created a brand new google doc just given it a name of test doc and once you create your document adding that add-on within the ui menu you can go under the tools and open up the script editor thats going to open the google apps script editor interface give the app script a name im calling it ui date so first off lets go ahead and were going to zoom in to increase the font size and that can be done within the command palette you can open up the command palette by pressing the f1 for the recording process
