To add a field to an issue: Open an issue. Select Admin Add field. In the dropdown, select the field you want to see in the issue view. Select Edit field to set a value for the field immediately. Select Submit.
Add a custom field to a screen Select Issues. Under FIELDS, click Custom fields. Find the custom field and click Associate to Screens. Check the screens on which you want to display this custom field.
Create a custom field With the project open, on the Tasks tab, make sure Grid is selected. In the grid, just past the last column, select Add column New field. Enter a Type and a Field name, then select Create.
From the Roadmap view, navigate to settings using the next to your plan name Configure. Choose Custom fields to show you all of the custom fields currently in your plan. Select Add custom field in the upper right corner, then search for the fields you want to add. Use the Add fields button to finalize your choice.

How to add a custom field. You can add custom fields from Jira Software into your plan so you can view and edit them in your scope table. Go to your plan click located next to the plan name Configure Custom fields. Select Add a custom field and select the field you want to add from the list and click Add field.
Create custom fields From your projects sidebar, select Project settings Issue types. Select the issue type you want to edit. Under Create a field, drag the type of field you want to create. Jira highlights the areas you can drop the field into.
