Installing ACF You can the Advanced Custom Fields plugin the same way youd other plugins from WordPress repository. The easiest way is installing directly from your WordPress Dashboard Plugins Add new and search Advanced Custom Fields. Just click and you are ready to go!
Go to the column settings screen: Dashboard Settings Admin Columns. Select the Custom Post Type from the menu. Click the + Add Column button in the lower right. Select Advanced Custom Fields from the column Type dropdown.
Please download or clone the ACF Example Field Type repository. Alternatively, you can click the green Use this template button to create a new repository based on this template. Once youve downloaded the template, follow the steps in the README to get started on your custom field type.
Go to the column settings screen: Dashboard Settings Admin Columns. Select List Table from the Menu. Click the + Add Column button in the lower right. Select Custom Field from the Type dropdown.
ACF PRO. The Options Page can be installed by purchasing a license for ACF PRO. On payment, you will receive a receipt from ACF and a user account allowing access to your downloads. Once ACF PRO is installed, enter your license key to enable plugin updates.
Adding fields From the Custom Fields admin screen, click the Add New button to create a new field group. Add the fields you would like to see when editing a Post. Under Locations, select one of the Post related rule types (such as Post Type) and then select the corresponding value to show this field group.
You can do this under WordPress Dashboard Users Insights Custom Fields. You can add anything you want to the name field, but the key has to match the one you added using ACF. So, in our example, the Company Name is Company, but the key has to be companyname so we can read the data in that field.
Installation Visit Plugins Add New. Search for Advanced Custom Fields or ACF and Activate Advanced Custom Fields from your Plugins page. Click on the new menu item ACF and create your first custom field group, or register a custom post type or taxonomy. Read the documentation to get started.
