How do I set up or register for My AMI, an online account? Click the link here. Enter your email address and create a password. Enter your name, date of birth and policy number. Click REGISTER. Youll get an email with a link to activate your account. Once your account is activated, you can set your preferences.
To share an AMI, you need these two types of AWS accounts: Source account: An AWS account used to build a custom AMI and then encrypt the associated Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS) snapshots. Target account: An AWS account used to launch encrypted EC2 instances with shared custom AMIs.
To create an account, please visit the registration page and provide your email address. You will then receive an email with a link to register your account.
In order to update the email address on your account, please contact our customer support and provide us with the following details: your old email address. your new email address. your shipping address to confirm your identity.
Log in to the AWS Management Console, display the EC2 page for your region, then click Instances. Choose the instance from which you want to create a custom AMI. Click Actions and click Create Image. Type a name for Image Name that is easily identifiable to you and, optionally, input text for Image Description.
