okay in this presentation I want to do something a little bit lazy I want to reproduce this table thatamp;#39;s in a textbook and I donamp;#39;t want to type it all out I want to do it very quickly with our okay so what Iamp;#39;m gonna do here this is copy and paste out all the numbers so ctrl C okay now what Iamp;#39;m going to do is go to R so I have all written here Iamp;#39;m going to call this data set times because thatamp;#39;s actually what the data set is about now what Iamp;#39;m going to do is I go to scan use the scan command input all of these numbers quickly so what I do is actually just write scan in with no additional argument there we go and now Iamp;#39;m going to press ctrl V to paste them all in there we go so there the dad has them all read in okay so just letamp;#39;s have a look at times now thatamp;#39;s close thatamp;#39;s very close but itamp;#39;s not what we need yet so weamp;#39;re not out of the woods yet so this is where using matrices comes

To preserve all the digits in text-formatted numbers, you have to import the downloaded CSV file as raw data into a new Excel spreadsheet, set the column datatypes as needed, and then save the new file as an Excel workbook. Excel (XLSX) files will preserve these formats, CSV files wont.
Save a workbook to text format (. txt or . csv) Open the workbook you want to save. Click File Save As. Pick the place where you want to save the workbook. In the Save As dialog box, navigate to the location you want. Click the arrow in the Save as type box and pick the type of text or CSV file format you want.
There are a couple of ways to do this one is to open Excel first, then from the Data tab use the Import from Text option and select your csv file. This will bring up the Import Wizard and allows you to set dictate how the data is imported. Then you just need to be careful how you save it.
Go to File Save As. Click Browse. In the Save As dialog box, under Save as type box, choose the text file format for the worksheet; for example, click Text (Tab delimited) or CSV (Comma delimited).
writer class is used to insert data to the CSV file. This class returns a writer object which is responsible for converting the users data into a delimited string. A csvfile object should be opened with newline= otherwise, newline characters inside the quoted fields will not be interpreted correctly.
Learn how to preserve formatting for numerical values in CSV files. Open a blank Excel document. Navigate to the Data tab Click Get Data (Power Query) Click Text/CSV.
